Mary’s Hospital was founded on May 11, 1936, with a team of four doctors specializing in internal medicine and pediatrics.
Over the course of 80 years, it has continuously developed and expanded, adapting to the medical needs of the community and striving to become a “patient-centered futuristic hospital.” In 2010, it was renamed the Catholic University of Korea Yeouido St
Mary’s Hospital.

Mary’s Hospital is the first formal hospital of Korea Catholic.
The hospital operates across multiple disciplines, featuring 31 clinical departments and 15 care centers.
With its spiritual focus, it provides holistic treatment and medical services.
Consequently, it has established a comprehensive care system that supports individuals from the beginning of life to its conclusion.
In 2011, it received its medical institution certification from the Ministry of Health and Welfare for the first time.
In 2015, the One Hospital System was implemented, merging Yeouido St
Mary’s Hospital with Seoul St
Mary’s Hospital into a single entity.
This marks the first integration of secondary and tertiary hospital operation models in Korea.
As a result, they are equipped to handle more severe conditions that necessitate specialized knowledge and intensive health monitoring.
In 2016, it was also recognized as a hospice palliative medical institution by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
In 2017, the first baby conceived using the NaPro pregnancy method in Korea was born at the hospital.
The NaPro pregnancy method facilitates natural conception through medication or surgery by monitoring hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle.
That same year, it was designated as a medical institution for conducting physical examinations for Canadian visa applications.
The hospital features a Health Promotion Centre that provides a comprehensive health program package.

Mary’s Hospital established an International Healthcare Center in February 2013, offering complete care to foreign patients with precise medical services and a dedicated team of professionals.
In 2010, it entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Seoul Metropolitan City, aiming to enhance convenience for foreign patients.
Additionally, it serves as the official medical facility for conducting medical examinations related to cancer screening and physical assessments required for visa applications to countries such as the USA, Canada, Spain, Iraq, and Vietnam.
